I haven't yet mentioned that a few weeks ago (okay, maybe two months ago) J. and I made a whirlwind trip to Seattle.  The stray husky kept showing up at our house, as in got returned to us and then got returned to a kill-shelter where we quickly retrieved her, but we were finally able to secure permanent housing for her which just so happened to be in Washington.  We took advantage of the opportunity to see a few sights, eat some yummy food, and visit friends in Seattle.  It was just an overnight trip, but we were able to pack quite a bit of adventure into the span of 18 or so hours.

We reached Pike Place Market just in time to see hundred of pounds of fish and seafood as well as hundred of flowers be packed up for the day.  I can hardly imagine the chaos that ensues during the peak hours.

Something about the Gum Wall (or this photo anyway) reminds me of Bucharest or Budapest or Zaragoza.  It's a cosmopolitan nook.

We sampled cheeses and the "World's Best" Mac & Cheese at Beecher's.

Eating, drinking and general merriment was had with old friends and new friends under the eye of the Space Needle.

Yum-yum dim sum.  Oh how I wish that there were a Harbor City equivalent in my little corner of the world.

At one point (literally just one point), we even saw blue sky.

P.S.  This was my very first ever trip to Washington state.  Yes... That seems weird to me too.
