The garbage disposal recently retired and was replaced by a newer unit. In the process of dismantling the old system and installing a new one, the sink area was cleared of its contents. It looked so fresh and so clean without anything around that I decided to keep it that way.
To do so meant that the various items around the sink had to be relocated. Pretty much everything could just be moved around to another location*, but the hand soap and scrubbies needed to remain close so the were moved below. There had been a crowded mix of cleaning supplies, plant food, vases, shoe polish, and much more under the sink, but I cut it back to a small remnant of the previous chaos. Now, beside being more manageable, it'll be easier to spot leaks as they [very likely will] arise.
I took the rearranging drive a little further and reorganized the kitchen counter as well. It could simply be an illusion, because all of the usual clutter has been tucked away, but there seems to be so much more space. Illusion or not, its pleasant.
