Spring Fling

Along with asparagus and strawberries, rhubarb is a sure sign of Spring.  I was happy to find some at the market over the weekend.  I sifted through several rhubarb recipes and decided on Martha's Rhubarb Galette mostly because I already had all the main ingredients for it.

When I bake, I'm reminded that I don't bake enough.  I really enjoy it (especially with vino on hand).

The Cornmeal Pate Brisee was easy and turned out deliciously.

How could it not be tasty?  Butter makes everything better.

Sometimes (read often), I don't trust my judgement and need to break out a measuring device to make sure that I get the right slice thickness, crust width, etc.  At least in this case, I only measured the first slice and then eye-balled it from there.

Moving along with minimal fuss.



The results were so anticipated that I didn't even get a proper picture before slicing commenced.
