Along with asparagus and strawberries, rhubarb is a sure sign of Spring. I was happy to find some at
the market over the weekend. I sifted through several rhubarb recipes and decided on Martha's
Rhubarb Galette mostly because I already had all the main ingredients for it.
When I bake, I'm reminded that I don't bake enough. I really enjoy it (especially with vino on hand).
How could it not be tasty? Butter makes everything better.
Sometimes (read often), I don't trust my judgement and need to break out a measuring device to make sure that I get the right slice thickness, crust width, etc. At least in this case, I only measured the first slice and then eye-balled it from there.
Moving along with minimal fuss.
The results were so anticipated that I didn't even get a proper picture before slicing commenced.
